Ecology : They are living under rock in river where water flow is relatively slow and sand, gravel and mud and large lake. They are also living in a water plant area. They eat usually small fishes, aquatic insects and crustacean (shrimp). It is known that they are living in river runs to the West sea from Yeongsan River.
Note : The body is streamlined and round, but the mouth and head is flat. Mouth is big and teeth is sharp. The lower jaw is long and lips are thick. Eyes are on the head but they are small. There are two dorsal fins and number one dorsal fin is not thorn. Body color is yellow brown. The belly side is white or pale yellow, and dark brown spots are all over the body. There is a big dark brown spot on the middle of the number one dorsal fin, on the end of number two dorsal fin, and on the start of tail fin, but it is not significant as odontobutis platycephala. Each fin has a radial shape stripes.
